Yes to sorting!
Numerous sorting garbage cans are available at the beach, in the village and in natural areas.
Don't throw anything into the sea or into nature, and remember to take your garbage with you when you've finished!
In the off-season, tide bins are also installed at the entrance to each of our beaches. These large wooden boxes collect the waste washed up by the sea. During your iodized walks, do your bit for the environment by picking up any human waste such as cigarette butts, plastics, ropes... It's up to you!

A forerunner in this field, Torreilles was the first town in the department to abolish beach showers (2018). Thanks to this measure, hundreds of thousands of liters of drinking water are saved every year on our beaches.
During your stay, please make sure you use water sparingly.

On foot or by bike, to enjoy nature in "slow" mode, follow the soft paths and our "Naturavélo" circuits. To get around the destination, you can also use the greenways and public transport.
Stop cigarette butts
A CIGARETTE BUTT ALONE POLLUTES 500 LITERS OF WATER!
To do the right thing and avoid contaminating the beach and its marine flora and fauna, pick up your pocket ashtray from our tourist office, the town hall, local tobacconists, beach clubs and first-aid posts.
This pocket-sized ashtray enables you to extinguish and collect your cigarette butts. A small gesture that saves nature from the more than 4,000 toxic substances contained in a cigarette butt, and helps prevent fires.
